"YŌHENSHIKŌ" is a work of the highest quality. The crystals change color from blue to purple to red. There are also gradations within each crystal. The complexity of the colors is such that it is hard to believe that this is art made by human hands. This is a top-quality piece of tenmoku, which expresses the strangeness of glaze coloring.
Kyoto ceramist Mr,Koji Kamata, who studied under Living National Treasure Uichi Shimizu, is admired worldwide as a master of tenmoku.
